The Tuolumne River Trust’s 3rd Annual Paddle to the Sea starts May 6th and runs thru June 4th. 245 miles of Scenic River, Delta and Bay paddling from Meral’s Pool on the Tuolumne to Pier 39 in San Francisco in 17 legs.
Paddling: There are sections appropriate for Ski, Outrigger, Sea Kayak, Open Canoe, Raft and Whitewater Kayak. Distances are as short as 6 miles and as long as 35 miles. Parties and a Concert also, see www.paddletothesea.org

Note: You do not need whitewater experience to join the whitewater rafting section. All rafts will be guided by professional river guides. (The dream team for a whitewater raft? (1) guide + (6) Outrigger paddlers.)
All funds raised go to conservation and restoration efforts the Trust conducts in the Tuolumne Watershed and points downstream which use Tuolumne river water (San Francisco, Modesto and several other Bay Area and Central Valley communities).

Paddle to the Sea, our epic paddle-a-thon down the Tuolumne River from Yosemite National Park to San Francisco Bay. There are many options for coming out on the water for a day (or more) including whitewater rafting, canoeing, sailing, sea kayaking, and more. Whitewater raft the Wild & Scenic Tuolumne – May 6-7
Kickoff Paddle to the Sea with a professionally guided 2-day whitewater rafting trip down the classic Tuolumne Class IV run leg by our partner ARTA River Trips. Given all the rain and snow this year, expect big water and a rollicking good time! Private shared cost trips are also an option for those with the equipment and experience.
Float or Canoe the Lower Tuolumne – May 14,15, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24
Due to heavy rainfall and expected high flows, we will once again be offering rafts for the first three “canoeing” legs of Paddle to the Sea. On May 14 & 15 you have the option of an easy float down these beautiful stretches Lower T. Canoes also available May 20-24. As always, you are welcome to bring your own boat if you prefer.
Sail or paddle the Delta – June 1-3
This year we will be paddling all the way through the Delta – the largest estuary on the West Coast of the Americas. Join us for three bid days of paddling high performance water craft or bring your sailboat along and join the regatta!
Sail or sea kayak the San Francisco Bay – June 4
A big thank you to our partners at California Canoe and Kayak who have generously donated the use of their sea kayaks, you can now join us on the final legs of Paddle to the Sea whether or not you have your own boat! A very limited number of seats are now available for you to join us on a sailboat accompanying the paddlers across the bay as well.
